STANLAB Lugol’s fluid 5% is a classic aqueous iodine solution composed of iodine and potassium iodide dissolved in distilled water. Each 100 ml bottle delivers a standardised concentration of approximately 5 g iodine and 10 g potassium iodide per 100 ml, providing a consistent and reliable source of iodine in every drop.

Iodine is an essential trace element that contributes to normal thyroid function and to the normal production of thyroid hormones, as recognised under EU Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006. Each single drop (approx. 0.05 ml) of this 5% solution supplies approximately 2 mg of iodine and approximately 4 mg of potassium iodide, making precise dosing straightforward and easy to manage.

STANLAB Lugol’s fluid 5% is manufactured to well-defined physicochemical parameters — including a density of approximately 1.05 g/cm³ at 20 °C and a pH range of 5.5–8.5 — ensuring product consistency and quality. The liquid format is suitable for users who prefer a flexible, drop-based supplement over capsules or tablets.
